When you reinstall the game, the game automatically downloads the most recent version, so it will 'update' the game. However, if you simply reinstall, then the game won't save all your beatmaps and data. In order to save / preserve your data, do the following: • Go to the osu!app in your Applications folder. • Right-click and find 'open package contents'. • Find the folder 'drive_c'. It should have multiple folders in it, but find the 'osu' folder. • If you know how, then you can use Cmd + Shift + G to locate it at: ~/Applications/osu!app/Contents/Resources/drive_c/osu! • Now, find 'osu!YOURDISKNAME.cfg', the 'Skins' folder, and 'Songs' folder. Copy and paste them into some folder you can remember. The files should look like this screenshot below.
